Wanting to make a difference in this world has kept me pushing forward.

Will attend the University of Connecticut

Aaron Hooker

During an internship at The Children’s Law Center during his junior year of high school, Aaron Hooker discovered his future path. At this internship, he provided legal advice for callers, scheduled appointments, faxed cover sheets, and discussed case strategies with attorneys. Aaron’s ideas for his future, at a glance, are pretty standard (yet still very impressive). After college, he plans to pursue his law degree and then work in the field for a few years. After that, he’ll make his transition to politics. Where Aaron’s plan deviates from the mold is this: he plans to run for President of the United States in 2040. Most proud of how far he has already come (his accomplishments so far including a 3.6 GPA at his high school, Capital Prep Magnet School, making the Dean’s List, being a member of National Honors Society and winning the Scholar Athlete Award), Aaron clearly plans on going much further all in order to make the change he wants to see in the world and help people who need it most.

Aaron has already started to impact those around him through many community service efforts (one of them including teaching senior citizens about technology), in addition to being a role model for other students in his school through the Big Brother Program and Youth Taking Action, and also spreads awareness for social injustices through his school’s Action Club.

The next stop in Aaron’s journey will be the University of Connecticut where he will major in Political Science and Economics and will be on the pre-law track.
