In elementary and middle school, I thought going to college was just a dream, but now it’s actually happening and it’s honestly one of the best feelings I’ve ever felt. When I would get an acceptance letter in the mail, it was so relieving because it showed that my four years of hard work paid off.

Will attend the University of Connecticut

Bobbi brown

As the first person in her immediate family to go to college, Bobbi Brown is not only making herself proud, but the rest of her family. She describes her accomplishment as a family one, and she is excited to serve as an example to her younger siblings. It is no surprise that Bobbi has accomplished her dream when you learn about the dedication she had to her school work and community. At the Journalism and Media Academy, she was fourth in her class with a 3.6 GPA. She was very involved with sports, but ended her career early due to an ankle injury. Once she could no longer play sports, Bobbi found other ways to get involved; she helped with video recording and editing, worked concessions at her school and volunteered at daycare being a role model to kids.

Writing is Bobbi’s passion, and she will be studying journalism at the University of Connecticut in the fall with a special desire to uncover the truth through her work.
